Cubes

The Cubes series extends calm, harmony, and order into the space. The cube — a closed, self-contained form — becomes a concrete manifestation of clarity and structure. Inspired by the Platonic solids, each sculpture reflects a pursuit of inner balance.

Christian Iconography

Conceptual: Abstract Stations of the Cross. The individual Stations of the Cross are reduced to their iconographic, structural content - to a few geometric basic forms. The color scheme is designed to emphasize the symbolic value. This Stations of the Cross was exhibited at the Marcel Callo Church in Linz during Lent 2023.

These artworks were created between 2022 and 2023.

Visuelle Poesie

In these artworks, figures are combined with geometric elements and individual words that establish connections. These words add an additional layer of meaning to the patterns. The placement of the word is crucial; the entire 'fabric,' the interplay of elements with the word, creates the new image. The nouns intentionally interact with the surrounding elements, aiming to evoke in the viewer the imagination of what they represent.

These artworks were created in 2021.

Buchbilder

The starting point is the book in its physical form: as an "objet trouvé", it becomes a visual experience. The cut-out geometric shapes contain an opening towards archetypes, according to C. G. Jung. The circle represents the infinite, the square the earthly, defined, the triangle dynamism, and the cross being stretched between opposing symbols. Often, I have chosen two geomantic forms, which, on the one hand, are in a tension relationship and, on the other hand, are in correspondence with each other. This points to the transformation of the forms, the movement between them, suggesting changes.

These artworks were created between 1997 and 2003 (2006).

Collages

Let me share a glimpse into my world of collages and assemblages: Transforming discarded materials into something beautiful and discovering the inherent beauty in waste — this has been the guiding principle of my work in this series. What holds significance for me is the amalgamation of different materials into a new, compelling, and harmonious whole.

These artworks were created between 1994 and 2008.

Wandobjekte

For this series, the contrast between individual geometric shapes is crucial. These shapes are milled from black acrylic plates and directly assembled on the white wall, creating diverse compositions.

These artworks were created between 1991 and 1992.
